Actually, time management was becoming a problem for me. I was always interrupted by emails, phone calls, and unscheduled appointments. However, I did developed some key managing skills. They are as follows:
- Scheduled my phone calls, and read emails at a set time everyday, unless unavoidable instances. This way, I could avoid being interrupted.
- Scheduled my appointments with clients in the mornings during set days of the week, so I could free up my afternoons for catch up on pending work or anticipated deadlines.
- I also said NO when I needed to, in order to manage my time.
These management skill tools really helped me meet my deadlines every week, and ultimately, allowed me to manage my time more effectively.
